Root & Rise Nursery

Our nursery specializes in native and non-invasive plants. Many of our plants are cultivated solely for Pāpā Forest Project outplanting; however, some plants are for sale, with a portion of proceeds set aside to help fund Nature & Art as Therapy. The nursery is located at our South Kona location, mauka Miloli'i.

Current available plants include: maile, ala’ala wai nui (pepperomia), ’ōhelo papa, ‘uki’uki (Dianella sandwicense), and naio papa.

Our nursery is endorsed by Plant Pono, an organization that promotes green businesses that use, sell, and cultivate plants that protect Hawai'i's exquisite and rare ecosystem by cultivating non-invasive plants and educating about the importance of such.
